plants and cichla!

Have eney of you guys kept a nice planted tank with your fave bass?

did they dig up and damage the plants to much?

It's a hit or miss. IMO. If you can anchor the plants down good, then I think you'll be fine.

thanks mate ! maybe just a few big bunches of Amazon Swords and some short carpet plants to cover the floor of tank! Maybe some floating/serface plants to give bass a darker spot in the tank from lighting!

No,no special light just one led bar that's pinkish in color.
Those 2 plants do good with poor lighting conditions in my experience

Thanks for the link buddy! Think that's the way to go with plants and bass! Tie them to your wood! Think black sand would have looked a lot better thow!
