Plants and Goldfish

They will probably nip at it over time, I don't think that they would constantly be chewing on the plants. I had hornworth in an old 20gal feeder tank and it slowly perrished over a couple months. I personaly think it was bad lighting and not the fish (rosey red minnows and a cheap desk lamp).

As far as duck weed goes. I feed my goldfish half a cup a day which I grow just for food. All other live plants they eventually thrashed. I have 6 ranchu in a 60.

Goldfish will eat duckweed. They will eat the roots of water lettuce, but the plant should survive. I don't believe they will eat the hornwort. You could add some najas (guppy grass). Not many fish eat that plant.
