I just wanted to double check what i had heard. Do plants help turning nitrite into nitrate? Im new to live plants and was curious if that was true?

I don't know about turning Nitrite into Nitrate, I don't think so. They do comsume Nitrates, thus reducing the frequentcy of water changes.

Yup. The bacteria in the tank is what turns nitrites into nitrates.

Plants will utilize Ammonia, NitrIte, and NitrAte for growth, so they help buffer the entire nitrogen cycle.

Not much bio load unless they are dying. Decaying leaves and such would add bio load. A healthy plant will actually reduce the load though.

Yeah plants are great at consuming all that bad stuff. I actually have to add nitrates in my tank to keep the plants happy :)
