I have been wanting to try for real plants for awhile now, how well do gsp's do with plants? I have a 46 bowfront with two juvie gsp's and I am still slowly working up my sg, currently it is at .006 (I know, not very much). Will just any plant grow in BW? And are puffers plant friendly?
Also I know that I need to be feeding them things with shells, so far that has amounted to baby ghost shrimp (gut loaded), but I was wondering if there was a certain kind of snail that wouldn't breed like rabbits in my tank that could serve this purpose part of the time as well, or are the shrimp just fine to grind down their teeth?

Also, in the info that pufferpunk posted for me in my last thread, is says that if you see them swimming up and down by the glass it means they are bored and need more stuff in the tank....well thats what my two do, but I have a lot of stuff in my tank, is this okay? I have a pretty large cave and 10 fake plants in there right now, should I be adding something specific to keep them busy?

There are no plants that will make the transition from FW to high-end BW/SW these puffers require.

All mangrove speciecs will tolerate salt levels up to marine as will several species of sea grasses. It's just hard to find these plants available for purchase online.
