Hey i have a planted tank and the water look reddish is this because of the plants and how do i prevent this.

Do you have any driftwood in the tank by any chance? Since i havent heard of plants making water red before? Although im still relatively new to planted tanks...

Either driftwood, or excessive detritus.

If it is Malaysian wood, it leeches for months before your tank will get clear again and that is after many water changes.

The color is from tannins in the wood leeching out, doesnt hurt the fish, some even prefer it...
