Plants for a Amazon biotope

I'm redoing my 125g tank for angelfish (and maybe a ray). I'm wanting a planted tank and need some ideas for different plants to get. Right now I have moderate to low lighting (LEDs are next on my DIY list) and sand for a substrate. I have had amazon sword before without much problem, but what other plants should I be looking at? Also if I had higher lighting what plants should I look for?

i have never owned rays but i think they would knock the plants down while swimming

The rays are a big maybe. I need to be sure I can upgrade their tank as the grow before I get some. I'm mainly going to stock angels and a few plecos of some type.

amazon micro swords and regular swords. the micro swords should cover the bottom of the tank
