Plants for arowana biotope?

Dwarf Hairgrass. I always dream of having a floor of hairgrass with few nice rocks and driftwoods, all surrounded by hairgrass with their tips showing, like islands in the sea. I've seen pics of such setups and they are gorgeous.
for me it depends on how much maintenance you would want to put up on the plants. if youd go fully planted, there are lots and lots of plants you can readily add to your aro tank.
if you want minimal maintenance you might want to go for java ferns (ordinary or windelov type) also anubias species and some crypts or amazon swords are easy to take care of.

Currently i'm keeping a pair of RTG in my new tank. I'm thinking of setting up some biotope environment for my arowana. Feel free to view my new setup by clicking my signature. The tank look kinda plain at this point.

Well first things first you need to figure out what you want to do with the tank and how far you want to take it. I think a moss wall would look good, but are you going to keep the bare bottom? If you are you could always add some large driftwood and tie moss, java ferns and such to it and that should help the look. If you want to really get into it then get a good substrate, ferts, and a pressurized co2 system, as I see you have a good amount of light to work with. Get a better handle on what you want as the finished product and we can go from there.
wait, how large are your rtg's and how large is the tank. heard of rtg's being in a long term planted home aquarium being really rare cases. plus you've got two of them?
