plants for sump`

Hi i want to put plants in one of my chambers. i looking to use some of my pond plant can i do this and would i need to do anything before putting in the sump?

use floating plants for best results, just be sure they wont overflow into the next chamber.

ok thanks with reagrds using plants from my pond would i just need to wash them?

I wouldn't bother unless you have plant eating snails in the pond or some other pest you are trying to avoid.

ok i just wasnt sure if there would be anything that could transfer with the plants that could be harmful to the tropical fish

do you use pesticides or anything that run off into your pond?
That would be something to consider, but other than something like that, transferring plants should not be a problem.
