I snagged a few plants from a local lake, I go here to feed the time, some monster 4' LMB. well anyway I saw a few plants, growing in the water which I transplanted to my aquarium. At the time I figured they where safe since these monster fish were thriving in the water, but now I am second guessing.

What do you think is it safe to do this.

4' LMB!!!! thats huge.

as for the plants, you can collect some and isolate the plants in a QT tank and see how that goes.i if all goes good, add fish to the QT tank.

Thanks guys I wont swear 100% they are LMB but thats what they looked like on my google image search. I will post some pics of the plants, the new plants are the big ones, sorry about the poor pictures, no tripod and shaky hands.

Salt the heck out of the plants.
Some little mean nasties can hitchhike on plants!!

Do not use salt on any plants if you don't know what they are. Some plants will not tolerate any salt at all. If you're looking to get rid of any hitchhikers a quick dip in a 20:1 water to bleach solution followed by a good soak in water treated with de-chlorinator will take care of most everything.
