Plants Getting Eaten!!!!!

I have recenlty added alot of new fish to my fully planted 55. Recenlty all my banana plnats and some of my amazon swords are getting eaten! WHo is eating them?? I can't see any fish doing it during the day!!

Here are the fish:

8 (2-7") discus
1 archer
1 synodytis cat
1 pictus cat
1 pleco
1 retic sting ray
...............................any ideas??
is it the archer??

Use Java Fern, nobody eats that.

archers maybe but its more likely the pleco my pleco has eaten every plant i ever tried in his tank

The pleco or ray.. Likely the Pleco if it's happening at night..

I'd say the pleco. You can also use Anubias, I don't know of anyone who eats that.

Howdy,

If the leaves are eaten from the middle (i.e. they have holes), it's the pleco. If they are eaten from the rims, then the pleco is innocent

Use Java Fern, nobody eats that.

Ha... heh, ha hahahahah.. I wish... I have 5 Java Ferns in my Piranha tank, and I had two crayfish in there to eat thing sthat he didn't, or rather that he left over. And ofcourse I fed them too, but they TORN UP the JAva ferns and the Java Moss... *Sniff*

Wow, I am surprised, I thought that most aquatic animals found it unpalatable.
