Plants grow good in Sand?

Do plant grow good in sand I'm about to add sand to this tank bit I have live plants will they grow ok in sand?

Mine too no problems but I've got the black fluorite sand not sure of that makes a difference?

Flourite sand makes a big difference. It's planted tank substrate. My val was growing fine in sand until my mbuna decided to eat the leaves.

Regular sand is inert so it doesn't affect plants in any way.

if u have moderate to strong lighting plants will grow fine.

Basically speaking as long as its not a plant with high demands sand should be okay...
