are there any plants that will work with a 8.2 ph? i have a 54g corner tank with goldfish, plan to add some tetra's or other schooling fish, and have a 150w metal halide light with a sand substrate. my tap comes out with 7.8 ph but the sand buffers it up to 8.2 because its a marine sand.

Any anubais should work, they are low-high light and goldfish Won't eat them. Some crypts do well in hard water, others like wentii I've had melt alot in higher ph water. I've also had luck with Bacopa monnieri, Java fern, Hygrophila difformis, and ceratopteris thalictroides (water sprite) I would think goldfish might eat the last two though. My turtles go ape **** for Hygrophila...
