Plants in a tank with a Red Devil .

Hoping to sell my Red Devil , but if i dont i would love to have some green in the tank with him , i would perfer live ( real ) plants instead of the fake ones ,

Do you think i could get away with getting and putting a few live plants in with him or will he just rip them up ?

Plants i am thinking of -

Amazon Sword
Aponogeton Crispus
Crinum Thaianum
Echinodorus Ozelot Green
Vallis Torta
Crypt Ciliata
Pygmy Chain Sword
Lilaeopsis Brasiliensis

Not all of them but maybe a couple of them .

What you think will live plants be ok or should i just go get some fake ones ?

Does he destroy and unroots the fake plants? If not then I'll try. If it doesn't work get some nice driftwood.

When i had fake one in the tank he did pull them about but not really rip them out of the sand , just a pull that the leaves every so often , i took them out as the Oscar when i had him in same tank ipped them out of the sand and made a mess of them so i ened up bining them .

I do have couple of peices of diftwood in the tank but would like a little bit of green too .
