plants in cichlid tank (need help)

i have 3 jungle val plants in my all male tank and they was dieing so i bought a new bulb now there looking a little better but i was wondering if root tabs would harm my cichlids in any way

what cichlids do you have, very few large cichlids will not kill or uproot plants in a tank and most africans naturally eat plants

its a start of a peacock tank they dont bother the plants. will root tabs harm my cichlids

I've never even heard of effective planted rift valley tanks. What few plants survive the water conditions are often shredded by the cichlids. Sorry I can't help more
