Im trying to plan out a Rio Guapore biotope. I have a few ideas on what kind of fish are native to this particular area, but having a hard time finding plants. Any suggestions?

The following article refers to it as the "most plant rich river in the world" also has a couple of nice pics.

Also may find some help here

Mongabay didnt have much pertaining specifically to the Rio Guapore. I did find the article on Aquapress, it would have been more help if there was more than photos. Would have liked to know what he stocked it with, what kind of plants, etc. If anyone can identify some of the plants in the photos, that would be great. Im just not quite that familiar with live plants yet.

I want to do this particular river because I dont see it much. And its the home to my beloved Bolivians :)

I can tell you the red plant in the front right part of the picture looks like ALTERNANTHERA REINECKII 'LILACINA' . The middle back maroon plant looks like CABOMBA PALAEFORMIS. The front green patch looks like mermaid weed PROSERPINACA PALUSTRIS but is really green possibly due to high nitrates.

The others I'm unsure of looks like some sword plants in the back right. The others are too blurry for me to get a good look at.

You just made my day! I started experimenting with plants the last week, see if I kill them or if they live. I ordered my 33long (which Im planning for my biotope) and THIS was SOOOOO helpful!

Planted tanks are harder than they look for sure!
