Its 2,000 gallons one 3,000 gph pump for flow ,one UV sterlizer and 2 pond plants with 14 koi , 2 Florida Gars , one map and one red ear slide turtle. I need to upgrade in filtration now I was going to maybe add 6 pond plants or a canister filter with a built in UV sterilizer. I think the pond plants would be better right?

Are you asking if buying a filter or using plants are better for filtration. Unless you have alot of plants an actual filter is way better.
