Hi, ive started to to grow some plants on the top of my aquarium{i think its called hydrophonic} the the roots are in the water of the aquarium. Ive read about that some plant are toxic to fish, and in the list was Sage/Salvia and it said that leaves of certain varieties are poisonous and i wanted to ask for info about the varities a=that are and arent toxic. In addition i read that yam also be poisinous ,it says Yam BeanRoots, immature polds could be poisinous. The articles are talking about ponds and pond fish, while im talking about a tank with catfish and ciclids, im assuming thats the risks are similiar but ill be happy for and info and experience you have, also about if a plant has a poisinous leaves/bulbs/fruits and in my tank onl the roots are in the water ,if its still dangerous?
