Totally lost track of this thread. If you want to skip the whole quarantining thing with wild plants, just get in touch with some local hobbyists and see if they will give you some of their trimmings.
Just rig up a DIY co2 setup and you'll be good to go!

Also does anybody know what plants don't need co2 to live? Not exactly grow but just plants that don't need it to live.

Ive got tons of water wisteria that does excellent without co2 floating or rooted. A really good beginning plant. And will root readily off of cuttings. I started with one sprig and after bout 6 months was throwing it out in handfuls
