plants vs snails

hiiiii i purchased some new plants today and would like to know that do apple snails eat plants

Which species of apple snails do you have? Could you please post a picture of your snails? Only the Pomacea diffusa do not eat healthy plants but they do prefer dead and decaying plant parts. I have mine in my planted tank.

Pomacea canaliculata, Pomacea insularum, Marisa cornuarietis, Pomacea haustrum and juvenile Asolene spixi do eat healthy plants and all these ones are illegal in most global areas.

i got 2 apple snails and they just keep my planted nice and tidy by eating the decaying stuff. there about 1.5" at the mo but i dunno what species they are!

took a while to explain to the family exactly why i was covering rocks in pureed veg and using up oven space lol
