what types of plants should i put in with my angel fish?

They like sword plants because of the broad leaves which they can and will use for breeding. You can put any number of plants depending on your light, ferts, and Co2. So many options. If you get swords remember to use root tabs because swords are heavy root feeders.

Vallesneria jungle on one side of the tank , saggitaria for mid ground on the other half.
Native habitat of angels has a lot of vals , thier flat bodies are well adapted to swim between dense vals.
