Plants with natives

I'm wanting to add plants to my main tank for more cover for my fish. I don't have any real experience with plants but I'm thinking of hornworts or anacharis since they look pretty similar to what I find in the river. Anyways back to my main point I want to see some pictures of your guys' tanks with plants and native fish.

Depending on temp that Canadian pond weed or similar that your seeing might do better most sunfish enjoy cover where I see the majority of them in my pond

I couldn't find the plant that is all over the river so I just went with something similar. I'll look at the Canadian pond weed though

Just like a small anarcharis not as hardy in water temps 70+

There is actually some tropical species of anacharis, Egeria densa is one. Does good in heat but needs a lot of light.

Right I assumed he was in temps around 60-70 which is better for pond weed than a tropical species

I might try to get some from the river. Does it need substrate other than gravel or would that work?

We have ludwigia here that grows wild and is really great in an aquarium. Depending on what species of fish you keep, you can have a fully planted setup if you want. Is this for a sunfish tank or minnow species? Some sunfish will tear up a planted tank.
