Plants your Gar like

I have no real purpose for this thread except to discuss what plants different gars like. I have discovered that my 3 Florida gar looove the Wisteria plant. They will lay in the leaves and hide and play in them.

my gar eat plants, they love to eat hornwort. they will not eat ludwidgia though for some reason

haven't seen my florida's eat them, but they love to swim through vals.

so far mine have not eaten the water cabbage or the frogbit that is in with them.. they also did not do much with the amazon sword that they were around for a while..

now i feel bad for my gars and am going to end up adding some more plants for them.. and maybe that driftwood that ive got sitting there not being used..

My Spotted/FL likes the amazon sword and the baby Floridas like to swim through it. They also like to hide under the invasive amazon sting like plant. Forgot what they are called but you buy them in a little bushel and they grow like no tomorrow.
My Alligator Gar doesn't seem to care for plants as he uproots them all and basically destroys them all.

My gars don't mess with plants...they lay in them and thats about the extent of it...

My Florida Gar loves to hang out and/or swim around in my Aponogeton Ulvaceous.
