what type/brand of fertilizer is suggested for crypts or swordtails ill be housing in my aquarium with peacock bass, oscar, clown knife and catfish? haha man i feel like im askin a question on here every night but i think im gettin more knowleadgeable (sp) by the day or at least i HOPE!! haha

Plants and an Oscar? ........

yea...im gonna TRY it, ive seen a few people with it but for the most part ive heard they just uproot everything sooo i dunno i do wanna try though, WHERE THERES A WILL THERES A WAY haha

I have never...in over 30 years in the hobby...been able to keep oscars with ANY sort of live plants.....very few O's will even accept plastic plants...lol

If you are going to try this Herculean task... put them on pots. This won't keep the oscar from messing with them, but it sure will make replanting them easier. For a general fertilizer go with CSM+B or PMDD premix off www.aquariumfertilizer.com. It comes dry and it is very cheap.

yea im definetly goin potted just to keep them from uprooting them but keepin them safe generally is goin to be the task

Aqueous iron or clay balls containing iron will help crypts. You can get realistic results planting behind a false glass back/barrier if your determined to keep plants with oscars.
