Hi everyone. Haven't been on here for a couple of years. What's the deal on platinum jardini's. Are they very rare and what would be the cost. I just picked up one and will reveal what I paid after a few replies.

From what I've seen, Platinum Jardini are extremely rare and hard to come by. I've been looking everywhere for one for the past 3 years and only had a couple of leads and the fish were ridiculously expensive. A well known fish store in the US had 2-3 come in last year and quoted me $4800 a piece for them. The others I've seen or heard of are just white light trained fish and apparently lost their color quickly as they got older or moved to their new tank.

A lot of the "platinum Jardini" that have come in recently look like POSSIBLE low grade platinums but they could also just be WTT. Just be careful when purchasing one.
