Plastic Grate or Screen for DIY Sump

I am creating a sump from an extra 15 gallon and was wondering where to get some plastic grate or screen. Worse case I was thinking I can get a plastic sheet and drill a lot of holes, but I have seen a lot of DIY sumps with a nice plastic grate. I was hoping it could be something I could pick up at a hardware store. I am going to home depot tonight to look around and get other supplies, but I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I have attached a mock up of the sump as well. Any other input would be appreciated and thank you for any help ahead of time.

Go to the ceiling department where they have drop ceiling tiles. Pick up the plastic grate that they use for vents. Last I checked it was like $12 for a 2x4 piece.

Go to home depot or lowes and ask for eggcrate(its a light diffuser)

I know right.. Surprisingly the label actually says "eggcrate"

they work better out of water biological wise. underwater they are good for mechanical and a little bit of biological.
