plastic inserts for glass tops...

Hey everyone, not sure what they are called...but I'm looking for those plastic slip-ons that go in between the two pieces of glass tops...is that something lfs would have (without purchasing the full glass top?) or is there a place online? Custom building a glass top for my pond...

Not sure if you're talking about the hinge, or the backstrip, but both can be ordered online or special ordered by your LFS. An alternative to the plastic hinge is just running a bead of silicone between the two glass pieces. Works great.
 
Yeah, just put them next to each other on a surface the silicone won't stick to. Make sure you leave a little gap between them, then run a bead of silicone between them and let it cure. The silicone will last longer than the actual plastic hinge usually.
