Plastic mesh to protect aquarium bottom?

Hi folks,

I'm trying to find something I can put down in the bottom of the aquarium to protect the glass from the large rocks above it. I'm picturing like a plastic mesh working, do you know of anything commercially available that would work?

I use egg crate which is sold in HD or lowes next to the light fixtures.

Plastic Canvas, You can get it at most large craft stores.

Eggcrate is the most popular choice, and it's cheap.

Just so you know, sometimes they stock the eggcrate near the building materials. I was actually looking for some this evening at my local HD for a different project (but still related to aquariums) and that is where I found it.

I will say that while I have never tried plastic canvas I am not sure that would work nearly as well as the egg crate.
