plastic stuff under rocks!

what do you guys use to protect the glass base from the stone in your aquarium? I've been looking around for something to lay under my substrate. I saw a plastic grid like panel somewhere on the forum...anyone know what i mean?!!! please post a pic is possible.

The plastic grid stuff is light diffuser panel. Available at home improvement stores in the area where they keep all the drop ceiling tiles.

It's commonly called Egg Crate, but yeah it will be in the area with the drop ceiling tiles.
