Platinum arowana

Hi all, my local fish shop has some platinums arowanas in for just £60, i thought they reach a high price but could be wrong, is it worth trying to get one before they all go? just wondered if they were genuine or not.

are you sure they arent silver aros being put under a fancy sounding label?

the lowest price asian aro ive been able to find was online for about £200.

you tell me, they had a light tube in the tank with about 4-5 of them, they went pink under the light and they had tails similar to jardinis. quite a respectable shop so i dunno if they would lie

there was a similar post before as well..in that also the cost of the platinum aro was $60 and we all came to a conclusion that it was just a normal silver arowana.

Maybe they look plat because of the lights?? or it's just another name for a whitish jar or some arowana species?

God knows, like i said its what they are saying, they probably are silvers by the looks of prices of real plats on the internets. still not a bad price even for a silver i supose.
