Has anyone seen this cross as a success before? Just got eggs today, and the severum is the male. This parrot last successfully bred with a convict.
Most South American fish can only breed with their own kind. They can do the dance and and all but the eggs won't be fertilized.Has anyone seen this cross as a success before? Just got eggs today, and the severum is the male. This parrot last successfully bred with a convict.
Can’t you leave me with a little hope?? ? What are those secondary characteristics? That Heros looks too young to fertilize anything. It's still in its juvenile coloration and isn't showing secondary sex characteristics yet.
I know I've had my convict "Lokir" breed with one of my mbuna's I had at the time but I obviously didn't get anything out of it besides a good laugh and show. Lokir got all POed when the mbuna "ate" the eggs after they did their thing. She held the eggs for a few days but eventually ate em after she realized they were duds. Lol it was honestly hilarious to see how confused/mad he got when she did that. If I were to describe the look on his face, just imagine your wife/GF/partner just suddenly having a baby and then immediately shoving the whole thing in their mouth while ya sit there and whatch in shock and horror just to get thrown into a blind rage afterwards.Australoheros is a SA fish but can breed with CA's. Just like festae. Afaik these are the only exceptions? except that one person on here that had a GT breed with a convict with success. I feel like convicts genetically can (and make an effort to) just breed with anything.
