There is some red on it tail...

agreed, there's a red tinge to the tail. plus gatf are mostly void of much colour anyway

its not platinum. that pic is from a store called Africa in Osaka Japan. Those were some of the first goliaths that were exported back about 7 years ago. At that time, goliaths were unheard of outside of the Congo region. the fish was kept in a white tank obviously, as many of them keep lighter colored fish in white tanks to enhance the platinum look.
