i have 8 platys in a 30 gallon tank and i have 6 females and two males and they look really really fat so im guessing they are pregnent and they have been this way for a few weeks but i have still not had any babies i was wondering how long it takes for the babies to pop out and if i needed to do anything special water peramiters are all normal temp is 78.8 F at the bottom of the tank and there is a little bit of aquarium salt but not alot any help would be great thanks

I raised the temp in my tank to around 80-82 and a few days later they were here..
 
I have platys, mollies, and swords in a 30 long, and most of them have been prego for months. I did raise the temp, and that seems to stimulate birth. I know my water params are perfect, but mine still haven't given birth that I know of.
