Hey people, I'm fairly new with cats and when i was looking around on the web i came across this catfish, Platynematichthys notatus. Any pointers on where i can get some? Anybody currently own one? Any information about their behavior, diet, living conditions, etc, would be greatly appreciated. Already did my research on the web, just wanted some first hand advice on these guys.

Pics are not mine, just wanted to share some pics with u guys..... gotta say, one of my top 5 fav cats.

They are pretty hard to come by and don't ship well. Rarely come in under 15" and need ample swimming because they never stop moving. By ample I mean 10'x3-4'. They will cost you between $500-$1000 depending on who you buy them from. PM me if you are still interested because I know some vendors that can get them but they aren't on MFK.

Is that a lince cat or am i confused, either way great looking cat.

Geez.........I don't think i like catfish enough to spend $500-$1000, Maybe in the future when my 2000g DIY is completed.

Yes this is the lince cat. It is a great looking fish and is always moving somewhat like a shark which is why many large aquarium keepers want them but if they seems too spendy to you Pangasius sp. have them same swimming habits.

Dreamy. If I actually had the (extra) money and someone physically showed me that fish, i might snap and buy it.

No not too spendy, just finding one and wondering if a 9'x4.5'x32" high would be adequate, i know richard (t1karmann) has one and it looks pretty cool.
