Will platys eat thier fry the same way guppies do, and will other tank mates eat thier fry, or is this specific to guppies and others eating guppy fry?

oh yea. i believe the other guys will defenately eat them if they can get ahold to them. the best thing is to move the babies out, or put in alot of plants or floating plants to give them hide. i mean, it's not the others' babies, so what do they care? lol.
Use one of them small plastic floating breeders or lots of floating plants like hornswart. I haven't breed them since I was a little kid but that is what my mother and I would use.
Guppies do not usually eat their babies as i have about 20 babies with their parents in a 15 gallon with about 20 other guppies and none of them eat the new born fry while platys though will eat the babies and i have had platys eat any fry that they could catch and put into their mouthes.
