I have a 29 gallon tank with 5 fancy guppies (2 just had fry) 3 neon tetras, 3 glolite tetras? i think thats what there called a bala shark and i had 4 platys. last night 1 of them died and this morning 2 more died. there is one female left and she seems to be doing well. I have no idea why these fish died. the tank has been running for around 6 months now and ive never had a problem. all the other fish seem to be fine. is there something i should look for.

platies don't live too long, but that many dying at once is more than coincedence. Where did you buy them from? They might have had internal parasites or disease that never showed and just killed them now. One of my dojo loaches died yesterday. He was perfectly fine for 1 month since I bought him, and all of a sudden died.
Whenever you get any problems, the first thing to do is test the pH, ammonia, and nitrIte.

i tested the water and its all fine same as it was a week ago. i change the water once a week 25 percent. all of the other fish are fine i find it wierd how just 3 platys died within 1 day. ive had them for around 2 months now never acted funny or showed any odd signs.
