This isn't really anything more me than some thoughts about this place. I think it vary odd that this is supposed to a forum where fish keepers can come to get help, advice, and maybe just have fun. Yet in the process there are many people that get on here and seem to lack a certain respect for other people. I mean people come on this forum seeking advice from other MFKrs. Then some member decides that there question is stupid or that the answer is super obvious and that a monkey could figure it out with a few mouse clicks and decides to tell the op. Or they tell the op, and this is my personal favorite, to go and do some research before buying the fish, or getting those lights, or using that treatment, or what ever. What do you people that say that think the op is currently doing????? they are here using this forum as a research site. If u have an opinion/answer to a post then it is perfectly ok to give it with out adding your ego to your answer. and then the egotist is told of by someone else doing a post and the return with something like 'oh well i never meant to offend anybody'. come on when u start to spout your little smart *** remarks how do u think people are not going to be offended??? it doesn't really take too much intelligence to know what is a bit inappropriate to say it only takes a little thinking and common sense. so here are a few simple steps
#1-if a person is looking for answers don't tell them that the answer is obviously a given, this implies that they are morons cause they can't see the obvious.
#2-let experience and findings be an overflowing fountain of knowledge but do be as liberal with your opinions pull back on the reins on your opinions before u hit the post button.
#3-don't tell people to go do research when that is what they are currently in the process of doing.
#4-there is no need to start a posting war (i mean don't start typing cause someone has offended you and u just need to let them know how u feel and all the other stuff that came to your mind) cause it just takes up too much space and annoys everyone else.
#5- most importantly Play Nice and be cool !!!!!!!!
