does anybody pike play with it food? i just noticed today that mine was, im feeding it live feeder goldfish. it will eat and spit it back out, without harming the goldfish. it will slowly follow it, stocking it and eat it again and spit it right back out. do it again. it was doing for about 5 mins, then i guess it got bored and lelf the goldfish alone. the goldfish is still in the tank swimming like not thing happened.

I have seen mine do that when I first got her. but it always ended the same way. Not she doesnt even do that. She just inhales it.

Its quite common actually, its basically the pikes way of 'tasting' the food/fish. If they like how it tastes...its gone. Sometimes though, their eyes are bigger than their bellies...
