Okay was this a good idea or bad idea i have recently been reading about how flowerhorns like lighter colored substrate then darker i switched my back ground to the blue side and mixed in a bag of play sand should i leave my powerhead on through this and how long will it take for the sand to settle plz help any suggestions ideas flame help plz

did you wash the sand first if not you dont want to run anything or its going to clog up or burn out also if you didnt wash it first it will take atleast 3 days to settle if its washed about 24hrs just put 100+ lbs in my 125 took a day and a half to clear
yeah i washed it but i can see my flowerhorn it is still a baby color looks to be comoing out a lot better that is crazy thanks
