That this 'Assorted SA/CA Cichlid' is in fact a Jack Dempsey, and appears to be female

Yes, it is a female Jack Dempsey, you can tell this from the blue splotch thing under her eyes, If it was a male it would not have as much blue under there and it would be dots and not splotches.

Thanks, he has really colored up since I brought him home(I'm pretty sure it's a he anyway) Also has grown some, the JD is smaller and currently getting bullied. I may take her back and try to spot a female FM to bring home and try to pair up.
