My tank sprung a leak and my carpet was soaked. I have tried to suck up all the water, dry it out and shampoo, but it smells horrible. It is in my bedroom, and the smell is really getting to my sinuses. Any suggestions on gatting the smell out?

how long was the carpet wet for before it was dried out? Normally if carpet is wet for more than a couple of days it's stuffed anyway (from an insurance perspective - the backing starts to seperate/disintergrate) You may need to put some mould killer on it and/or an antibacterial. your local carpet cleaner/supplier will be able to advise better

put it out in the sun for a day or two
that should take care of the smell
