I've had her for about 4-5 months ago. Paid $10 for her at a swap meet. She was maybe 3" when I got her and now shes 4-4.5". Growing really slow but I've heard thats a common thing with female flowerhorns. What do you guys think? I know its a great pickup for $10, but what would you guys expect to pay for a female of this quality out in California or other highly populated flowerhorn areas? She was getting beat up by my lyonsi so I've currently got her with a bunch of cryptoheros, any chance I might get her to spawn with one of them? I'd be more than happy to breed a flowerhorn with a smaller colorful cichlid.

That fish was a steal at 10 bucks, very good looking female, now go find a big red devil or green tx with a monster kok and breed her

I've got plenty of males, but I'm not taking any chances yet. I'm going to try to breed her with something small for now, rather not take my chance with big fish yet. She can breed with those later lol.

pretty nice fish. She will make a good breeder IMO. Double row is nice, color is great, pearls are pretty good. SHe has a long snout which isn't ideal, but overall i'll give her a 6-7.

hook me up with a male of similar size for a decent price. I don't care to spend over $30. Right now I've got some ugly males growing out for her, some synspilums, or a rose queen. I'm hoping she breeds with one of my cutteris though but I doubt it.

thanks man, the big FH at the end was one of my first fish, bought him as a petsmart midas in 2005. Hes probably my only "pet fish." Hopefully I will have this female long enough to see her get to 10"+.
