Please help and advise

Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong with my flowerhorn? Its like he is turning all red and he is losing his double flowerline. The tips of his fins are turning white from being a grayish color. I do regular water changes and last night I check all water parameters and everything checked out fine except the nitrates being around 2.5ppm. I am now dosing with pimafix and melafix. Plus I raised the temp from 82 to 86. I was thinking about adding more aquarium salt but not sure if it will even help. Please advise.

Is he acting weak and sickly?

Or are his habits/aggressiveness/energy still the same?

If they he still is acting healthy with no signs of weakness, then he might just be fader

Looking at the pictures, he seems very active though

medicating a healthy fish may be damaging

Everything is very normal. I'm not so worried about using the melafix and pimafix hurting himm. But I am hoping it's not a fader. People that come over are amazed with his kok size and the double flower line that seems to be disappearing. He is such a show piece.

I first bought my fh coz of its round body n double flower(i usually use term 'marking'..) not very fan of big kok..later after 1 week then its start to fade..now already losing all his marking except for the pearling n the changes make it now very special to me..cos of this forum i know mine is a fader fh ( credit give to MFK and all the members)..by looking yours fh..seem he is fading..
