please help!!Aro got gill fungus

hello guys, please help. my Arowana just developed these fungus on its gill. i kinda want and kinda don't want to use medication due to the fact that it discolor the water and stain de tank,and can wipe out my biological filtration. Im trying to get any alternative way to cure this problem or must i have to use medication??? if so then what kind of medication should be use??

quarantine it and treat it with medicine.

i did some research and alot of people is telling me to salt it and frequent water change. i have been doing so and it seem like it is helping slowly. what I did was changed out my water every 3days about 30% and double the salt added , and keep temp high around 82 degree . i use salt water salt seem like it is helping. well known pet shop owner told me about it...
