Please Help! Can't get EHEIM 2080 going

I have been trying to get this blasted thing working for hours. It runs for like 1 minute tops. Looks like the intakes are sucking in air? I have taken it apart, put it back together. I used the little 0 rings, I replaced the litle O rings. I primed it using the priming button. I primed it from the sink. I have pushed the priming button when it is off and when it is on. I just don't know what else to do. I don't expect to have this kind of issue when I pay over 400 f******* dollars for a filter.

Anybody have ideas?
 
So, for other people who may have this issue....I had the intake tubes pushed too far onto the stem. A half inch caused such misery! Ridiculous.
 
So is all well now? Filter operating properly?
 
No. I wish. Once, I pulled the intakes down, it fired right up. I thought "Great, that was the problem". It never reached full flow....and then stopped running sometime during the night. I had to work today....I really hate when work gets in the way of fish...whatever. Tomorrow, I think I will empty it and start again from scratch. Maybe I just have air trapped somewhere.
 
shoulda got an fx5... my ehiem was crap. sorry lol.
