My 1/4" drip drain line breaks siphon every time air bubbles enter causing my sump to flood, even though the drain line is angled downward. I was hoping to find a tiny pump with 1/4'' or 1/2'' connector that will automatically turn on when water is sensed and have an autoshutoff. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get my drain line working please or what pump to purchase?

If you use a pump, you will need a level sensor to turn on (high), and off (low).
If you don't want to buy the pump, use much larger diameter tubing and don't rely on a siphon....the water will just flow out...like a drain.

I wish I could make a bigger drain line, solve all my problems. It's been a huge struggle getting my husband to agree to a 1/4'' hole.

Thank you. Looks like this unit has a lot of fails. I guess I need 3 of them so if one fails the second and third pick up the slack.
No...wait, three of them?
The way it works is, you get a pump and put it in the sump. For a top off situation like in reef tanks, the pump would go in a reservoir of pre mixed water. When the level gets low the pump turns on, fills to the shut off height. In a drip situation, you progam the pump to come on at high level and shut off at low level.
I don't know why you would need 3, they are expensive. If failure is a concern, a larger drain line is the best option....fail safe...
And the unit I linked is by no means the only game in town. There are other less complicated ones...I just used it as an example.
