My pleco has Ick, which is not a big I can treat it easily (I have Wardley Wellness Ick Out Seneitive) due to the fact that I have sensitive fish. Now the problem is it tells me to remove and carbon from the filter before use. I have 2 Marineland 200s and the cartridges in it have the carbon in them. Should I just take the cartidges out or what? Please help me asap, I want to treat my Pleco.
P.S. I just noticed that he has Ick yesterday it's not very seviere yet.

Do you have any other tanks?

You can take out the cartridges, and use some floss...If the tank is cycled, it will handle it. I would figure out a way to not HAVE to have the carbon in my tank at all times, as it is just not needed....

I am not familiar with the cartridges for your filters. Do you use a packet type of thing with carbon included? If that be the case i would simply pull them out and replace them with filter floss as long as you can leave the bio fiter media in the filter. A word of caution!!!! removing any bio filtering material can cause your tank to begin to cycle again do to the loss of BB.

add some salt (research the amount), and raise the temp on your heater as high as it can go (as long as you don't have cool water fish) Osmosis will cause the little pests to screw up, and the heat speeds up the life cycle so that they can be killed with your meds and salt.
