I'm saying smallmouth. I'm not sure because it's little and I don't catch smallmouths a lot. Out of a river by my work.

Yeah the best I remember it it was pretty drab on the sides but I was thrown off by the bright white belly and yellowish fins. I was wondering if it might have been one of those fringe bass types i'm not very familiar with. Rock bass etc....
i gotta say, that doesn't look like a small mouth to me other than the color

What about that fish doesn't look like a smallmouth? It's brownish (I know largemouths and smallmouths can sometimes have a similar color) and the jaw barely comes to the eye...
