cant be barbs, has an adapose fin.

It was next to the exodon tank, there was a label I think it was "iquitos tetra" but as you can see, both are different
 
In last pic, reminds me of Disticodus sp:confused:
 
I'll keep searching, right now the one with the spot is tagging my ATF which is 2" longer.
overnite, this new addition received a open flesh wound on the side so don't know if it's retribution
 
They do sort of look like some type of African Characin.
