please help ID my Gar

well i was looking for a new Arowana at the LFS when i came apon this. It's kinda rare to see Gar around here in LFS. So i picked it up. They had it marked as a Alligator Gar. Ive done some looking and think its a Florida Gar. I'd like to make sure. Because my pond wont be done anytime soon. He's about 8" long so should be ok in the 150 for now. But if its a Alligator Gar i need to plan for a bigger pond

I can't view youtube from work, would need pics. But you would definitely know if it was a gator. Probably a florida.

Definitely not a gator. But I think it is a Florida. Cool new fish! They will enjoy a pond forsure!
