30 dollars is a bargin, if you ask me.
And the poop.....waint untill it wil get up to 3 ft...I once took a turd out of my lungfish tank with was 1 inchin diameter.
Just try to clean out the poop as often as possible.
My lungs uaually take a crap at night ...so I clean out the tank in the morning.

that doesn't really look like protopterus annectens to me. i'm not a pro though. it he is then he has different patterning then what i've seen, and also he's very skinny for an annectens, imo. are you sure grif?

I'm no Pro either.. and your the annectens expert :)
well, I figured it just came from the LFS...I'm sure that in a few months/weeks it will gain a lot of girth. And it is only 14 Inch. I believe it will turn out to be a nice and fat annectens.
Annectens was the first thing that came to mind..You can see it has a rough time because it already lost it's external gills.....and it also looks like it has lost its fins in the past (the ones near the head) and they are growing back.

chefrific...do you think you can take a picture from the top..so the whole fish fits in the picture.

Thanx,

great looking specimen, one of the nicest patterns i've seen on a P. annectens in a long time :) --
